Deleting your account

You can do it yourself, from inside the app, without asking us.

This cannot be undone

Deleting your account removes your memories and photographs for good. If you want to keep anything, save it before you start.

From inside the app

  1. Open Profile, then the gear icon for Settings.
  2. Choose Account.
  3. Choose Delete account.
  4. Confirm. The account and its memories are removed.

If you cannot sign in

Write to support@memoriesaround.com from the email address on the account and ask for it to be deleted. We may have to ask you something only the account holder would know before we do it.

What is removed

  • Your profile: display name, photograph and bio.
  • Your memories, their photographs, moods and pins.
  • Your saved memories and places, your comments and your likes.
  • The people you blocked, and the reports you made.
  • Your notification settings and the places you were watching.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Records we are required to keep — a receipt of a subscription payment, for instance — stay with the store that processed it, under their terms.
  • A place you listed as a business stays on the map, with its photograph, but is no longer linked to you. Write to us if you want it removed as well.
  • Backups roll off on their own schedule, within 30 days.

Your subscription

Deleting the account does not cancel Premium. Subscriptions are billed by the App Store or Google Play, so cancel it in your store account settings first — otherwise it keeps renewing.
